No. Every self-drive convoy is led by an experienced lead vehicle and a mechanic. We run a short orientation on day one, and our routes are graded so first-timers start gentle and build up.
Vehicle or motorcycle, fuel, accommodation (homestays, camps or hotels as listed), permits, a lead guide and on-road mechanical support. International flights and personal travel insurance are not included.
May to October for the high passes like Spiti and Manali–Leh. Shimla, Kinnaur and Tirthan are beautiful almost year-round, with snow experiences from December to February.
Yes — our Family journeys are paced gently with kid-friendly stays and short driving days. We'll happily adjust any itinerary for younger or older travellers.
We arrange all inner-line permits for restricted areas. High-altitude routes build in acclimatisation days, and every expedition carries oxygen and a first-aid kit.
