Kasol to Kheerganga: A Weekend Trek Worth the Climb

The Kheerganga trek is the perfect first Himalayan hike — roughly 12 km round trip, with a natural hot spring as your reward.
The route
Start early from Barshaini. The trail follows the Parvati river through pine forest and past the tiny hamlet of Rudra Nag, where a waterfall makes a good snack stop.
Give yourself 4–5 hours up. It's steady rather than steep, but the last stretch earns its name.
At the top
Camp for the night, soak in the hot spring as the stars come out, and start back down after a slow breakfast. Simple, and unforgettable.
